Constitution Day

On Friday our class got to celebrate Constitution Day. It was a fun day where we got to learn all about the Constitution. We read and analyzed the Preamble, we did a challenging cross word puzzle answering questions about the Constitution, and we did an art project. 

The highlight of the day included a visit from my friend Megan whose husband is currently serving overseas with the National Guard. Megan explained that the soldiers get really cold at night and don't have warm blankets to wrap up in. 

Our class got to help her tie a quilt that will be sent to Iraq to help keep our troops warm! It was a perfect service project for Constitution Day - serving those who are fighting for our freedoms and protecting our Constitution.
